The Process
Stamped concrete curbing is a continuous concrete landscape border with a pattern pressed into the surface while the concrete is still fresh. It defines planting beds and separates lawn from mulch like any curb, but the texture gives it the look of stone, slate or brick. We help you choose a pattern that suits your home, beds and nearby hardscape.
We shape the curb on site to follow your layout and reinforce it with stainless steel cable. You can choose a 3-inch low mould or a 5-inch HD mould. The taller HD face gives a stamped pattern more room to show, while the low mould keeps the line lighter.

Finish Details
The pressed texture is the main feature of stamped curbing, and color helps it read clearly. We use more than one color variation on every stamped curb so the pattern has depth and looks natural instead of flat.
A second color variation highlights the low spots of the texture, which makes the stone or brick pattern easier to see from the street. We show you sample combinations at the estimate.
The stamp sets the pattern, scale and depth of the texture. We match it to your curb profile and to how bold you want the border to look.
Sealer protects the stamped surface and keeps the texture and color crisp. We recommend resealing every 2–3 years, and we explain how to care for your curb when the job is done.

Long-Term Care
Stamped curbing needs little attention: keep the grooves clear, watch where water runs, and reseal every 2–3 years.
We recommend resealing stamped curbing every 2–3 years. Fresh sealer keeps the texture defined and protects the color in the low spots of the pattern.
Soil, mulch and fertilizer can settle into the grooves of a stamped pattern. A garden hose or soft brush usually clears it out. Skip harsh chemicals and wire brushes, which can dull the finish.
Point downspouts and heavy runoff away from the curb so water does not wash soil across the pattern. We can look at drainage during your estimate and suggest a downspout extension if it would help.
If you expand a bed later, we can look at your existing curb and talk through adding a new stamped section that matches the original pattern as closely as possible.
